Judging Process
·
All carvings will be grouped by class and carving
category.
·
Judges will discuss among themselves the quality of
each carving in each class and category using the above four criteria.
·
The carving determined to be the best within each
class/category may be awarded a blue ribbon. The carvings ranked 2nd and 3rd
may receive red and white ribbons respectively.
If the judges determine that the quality of any carving is such that it
should not be awarded a ribbon then no ribbon will be awarded to that
carving. If the judges determine that
the quality of the best carving in a category is such that it should not be awarded
a blue ribbon then a lower place ribbon may be awarded to that carving and no
blue ribbon will be awarded to the category.
·
The Best of Class will be chosen from the
first place category winners in each Class.
·
Best of Show will be chosen from the Best
of Class winners.
